ICNA o6!!

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

ahh...i havent posted here in A LOONGGG TIMEE. but inshallah i decided too cuz i just went 2 ICNA man..mashallah it was sucha good learnin experience n alsoo a lot of fun..here are some highlights of it..

Speech's: mashAllah the ones that i did get to attend were very good. Br. Nouman Ali Khan like always was amazing, Imam Zaid Shakir was very powerfull and just hits the heart, Imam Abdul Malik well we kno he says it how it is, Altaf Hussein had some good lines, and ofcourse Imam Siraj Wihaj was great. Sadly, i did miss Sh. Yasir Qadhi, whom i was lookin forward to since he taught me last year the almaghrib class, Light of Guidance. mashallah great teacher. but alhamdulilah all went well

Bazaar: ahh the bazaar was awesome, i didnt buy many things, considerin im leaving for pakistan 2moro inshallah. so my mom wud kill me lol. but i bought 1 hijab, 2 shawl hijabs and i bought Imam Zaid Shakir's book, Scattered Pictures, which he signed as well. mashallah ive ready only a few chapters n im lovin it already.

Seeing Everybody: ahhh that was deff the best highlights. i saw SOO MANYY PPEOPLEE.. it was like my old islamic school [[ crescent school ]] reunion. the principal, asst principal, my whole class and the other classes.. so many ppl. alhamdulilah it was awesome seeing everybody. alsoo madee new friendss bcuz of the YM booth..and just was lovely to see everybodyy

YM BOOTHHH!!!!: well any1 who knows me, knows im a YM person, i was at the YM booth a lot of the time, most of friday and all of sunday. saturday was my speech day. so the otehr days i was at the YM booth volunteering. ah felt so good meetin new sisters, this is another reason i love ICNA. just unites every1. alhamdulilah =) i miss every1 already..inshallah i cant wait for next year!!

Other: we were at marriot. so alhamdulilah my dad wasnt callin me every 2 secs askin when i wud get back 2 the hotel..when i get back every1 wud be sleepin..fridayy nigh i got 2 the hotel like at 1ish after the sisters entertainment night and sat night i got back at 2 am. no we werent doin anythin pagal. we were  on that rooftop thing, mashallah it was so beautiful. me n my friend sana. were abt 2 go back 2 our hotel room, but we stopped 2 get that pizza sheet thing from the hotel. we were gettin it, n sum aunty comes up 2 us and says if u want we have a large pizza upstairs in our room, its cold, but u can have it. and we were like no no its ok, but she insisted, so the uncle came n we went with him. he gave us the pizza and then he gave rice too. aw so sweet of him, hah alhamdulilah so we went 2 sanas room and ate.. ahh man funny story hah

but alhamdulilah overall it was great. esp seeineverybody and havin eman rush b4 i leave for pakistan. btw im leavin 2moro!! ahh inshalahim excitedd. although i com eback sep 2nd..5 days b4 jr year starts. inshAllah itl be worth it.

well im gon go pack and what not!...inshallah ill update my wonderful trip when i come back!

WHY ISLAM SYMPOSIUMM!!!

Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

WOOHOOO. Why Islam Symposium mashallah was OFF THE HOOK. haha im not even jokin man. Imam Zaid Shakir, Siraj Wihaj, Hamza Yusuf, Abdullah Idris Ali, and Dr. Jamal Badawi. Hamza Yusuf mashAllah finished it off for the best. it was suppose to start at 6, but ofcourse started at 7:30 which i was fine with. finished at 12ish. They all put jokes in, which always makes it more good 2 hear. Imam Zaid Shakir spoke abt various things, such as African Americans have more right 2 this country then ppl comin here sayin bad stuff abt them. when they the 1 with the foreign accent. hah. which is mad tru. Hamza Yusuf basically spoke how America is a good country n how its basic principals are straight outta Islam, but thers sumd efects ofcourse there is mostly. n hes scottish. n hes like htere motto ..it suntin lik how u treat us is how we treat u..n he goes thats how us muslims are..u mess with us .we mess with u ahha. mashAlah i had a great time. i volunteered alhamdulilah durin the fundraisin part. man ppl get really annoyin. but i mean alhamdulilah three people pledged 50,000!! and 2 i think 25,000 and 3 or more for 10,000 mashallah. May Allah reward them. anyhu. inshallah cant wait for the next one. =D

how is everyone?!?! lol alhamdulilah im good..chyllin..this week the HSPA`s are going on for the juniors..this test in NJ..to pass HS..we takin sum dumb S test. but alhamdulilah half days n its a week of rest..anyhow..whos comin 2 the Why Islam Symposium ?!? inshallah u better be. im prolly gon volunteer..we`ll see inshAllah

lol havent updated in MAAAD LONGG exactly a month now. thats a lot. oh yes it is lol alhamdulilah everythin has been goin well. schools much better. chemistry ma midterm was a B-!!!!!! haha which is good for me. n then i just recently got a 114 on ma chem quiz!! woohoo. everythin is goin good. but ma report card still wasnt all that great. mostly B`s inshAllah ma goals are much higher now.

well enuf abt school. Yesterday ma mom fell extremely ill. diziness, felt like sum1 was inside her head, crying, throwin up. shes just weak now cuz shes always runin in n out of the house with ma sibs n ofcourse me. n like when i saw her so hopeless and cudnt do anythin. it made me burst in2 tears, cuz shes always the strong one when ur sick shes always the one whos sayin its gon be ok but now it was the other way around. i was cryin but didnt wanna show it. ma dad came home from work n so did ma aunt, ma moms sister. so alhamdulilah that made things much easier. i obviously didnt go 2 school 2day. i cudnt. ma baby brother was cryin too seein her like that. alhamdulilah shes better now, a little sick but better. ma dad she has the viral thats been goin around lately. this weekend the plan was for me go 2 NY at sanas, but ofcourse im not gonna. ma mom needs me. n although i feel sad abt this decision makes me feel proud. when i was makin dua for her. i cudnt stop cryin. n the hadith where sum1 is sick there sins fall off like leaves off a tree. n like ofcourse every1 has sins, but i dunt see any in ma mom. she seems so perfect. OFCOURSE shes not. we all kno that. but lets take a look at our moms. what DONT they do thats not for us. really not much i see after a woman becomes a wife n mother, she duznt have much time for herself, n its not like shes forced too. the woman wants too. she automatically thinks for every1 else. its in the nature. even when she was sick she kept sayin make sure wisam eats dinner or yusra eats. cuz their just so caring. so i made dua inshAllah all of her sins will fall off, n like i sed i duno wat sins but ofcourse Allah knows best. n ppl kept callin 2 ask cuz u kno desis.lol. i cudnt talk on the fone. ppl were like. are you ok? i duno if i was. showed me how selfish i was. n then this mornin i had 2 get up at 6:3o. read salah. make the kids lunches. feed them breakfast. get them ready. its not ez. esp when their brats. n it was easier for me. cuz ma mom has me, whos annoyin too. n i didnt have me to annoy me. lol if that made any sense. This story just one of the reasons why the mother comes 3 times then the father.

I just wanna say Allah thank you for our wonderful mothers. some of us are unfortunate to have mothers who dunt care. But thats Allahs decision. I cudnt imagine life without my mom. It wudnt be a life. Its the best gift Allah has given us, n lets do sumthin nice n be the best gift that Allah gave our mothers. inshAllah.

Life update

Assalamu alaykum warahmatulahi wabarakatuh

sorry guys..i havent posted for a while..just ive had a lotta stress these days..ya sounds funny comin from a 15 year old..but hey..we all do. n i prolly do complain a lot..but thats only on xanga..cuz theres no point complainin 2 people..doesnt help. so i just do it here. lol also been pretty sick since yesterday..body`s sore, head hurts, coughin like crazy..thats cuz ive had barely any sleep this weekend and the stupid dentist put this wire in my mouth..n it hurts like CRAPP!!!!

well Midterms start next week..wupdidoo. im worried abt all of em but mainly for chem. algebra i was but alhamdulilah hes givin us really good review stuff so inshallah i shud do good in that. chem i duno..we had our lab practical 2day..n when did he tell us abt it? oh ya TODAY. w.e it wasnt hard but still usually teachers tell u a week in advance or suntin. n i was REALLY sick n wasnt gon come 2school..but for sum reason i had a feelin he wud do this..cuz its him. although im happy with my midterm schedule.

Thursday 26th: Algebra II Midterm
Friday 27th: Chem and Gym Midterms. so that way i can concentrate on Chem
Monday 3oth: Spanish and Pyschology Midterms. which shud be mad ez
Tuesday 31st: History and English midterms..not bad either

For psychology im really happy..cuz shes givin us all the answers like the words..so we just study those we shud be good. n we allowed 2 bring in a notecard with the information that we cant remember on it so we cud use it on the test..u kno im writin MAD small lol

spanish..ya as long as i remember me, te, conjugations n all that good stuff lol

History SHOULD be ez as long as i study terms n ppl and inshallah he`ll give us a review..most likely he will

English same..its all abt memorizin stuff from the stories we read n the grammar crud

inshAllah pray that i do good on all of em..cuz i need 2 stop being lazy n inshAllah i will.
